KCSE results were announced last week Thursday by education cabinet secretary Dr Fred Matiangi.
The performance in Ukambani schools was not very impressive just like in previous years and stakeholders have been asked to do more to improve education.
Here is the list of top five schools in Machakos county; 1. Machakos school 8.1 2. Ndalani 7.9 3. Machakos girls 7.7 4. St camel 7.5 5. Mumbuni Boys 7.2.
Other schools that were among the top performers included; Kathiani Boys 7.1, Vyulya Gilrs 6.8, Muthetheni Girls 7.1 and Bishop Ndingi 6.9.
In Makueni county some of the top schools were; Makueni boys 8.3, Precious blood Kilungu 8.0, Mbooni girls 8.0 and Kaumoni 7.9.
In Kitui county, Muthale girls, St. Charles Lwanga and Mbitini topped the county.
