Youth leaders from Ukambani region have expressed their disappointment with Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka for snubbing NASA Presidential candidate Raila Odinga's inauguration on Tuesday.
The youths from Kitui, Makueni and Machakos Counties on Wednesday said Kalonzo had disappointed his people for failing to join the former Prime Minister in the controversial swearing in.
In a statement issued by the National Youth Council, Kitui County chapter chairman Aggrey Nzomo, the youths called on other leaders from the region to guide the community on the way forward following the Kalonzo's decision not to take oath of office as it was expected by his supporters from across the country.
“Kalonzo has branded all Kambas as traitors and people without principles, he led his fellow men into hiding as they abandoned Mama Ngilu to wrestle KANU’s authoritarian rule single handedly. He abandoned Moi in the midst of a prayer and later Raila on his swearing in, it's time Ukambani leaders charted a new way forward or we perish as a tribe," Nzomo said.
The Former Vice President has, however, maintained that he is still a strong members of NASA.
