Governor Salim Mvurya has congratulated participants of the inter-wards final ball games held at Kwale High School grounds on Thursday.

Mvurya also congratulated Kinondo Ward for clinching this year’s men football title and Ukunda ward for winning legball title.

"My belief is that these youngsters will be able to bring us victory when they face the other 46 Counties in the inter-County competitions which will take place in Makueni County this April 15th to 21st April. I wish them all the very best and let’s pray for them to emerge victors," said Mvurya.

He affirmed that Kwale County government is committed to nurturing local talents.

"We have put in place all that is required to drive this agenda. Through our department of sports and talent management we will achieve our goals inshallah," he said after watching the matches.

The winning teams each pocketed Sh100,000, while the runner-up got away with Sh70,000 each.
