EFP was formed and launched in April and the party supports President Uhuru Kenyatta’s re-election.

The county chief who addressed the press at the Moyale Airstrip ahead of Uhuru’s visit to the county said supporters of both parties were working together to marshal support for President Uhuru Kenyatta.

EFP was formed to counter the growing influence by the opposition National Super Alliance in the county that borders Ethiopia.

The party has fielded aspirants for all elective posts—governor, senator, MPs, woman representative and Members of the County Assembly for the August 8 election.

“I am not aware of the Jubilee brigade people claim is interfering with EFP in Marsabit,” the governor said.

Uhuru and his Deputy William Ruto will campaign in Marsabit today (Wednesday) as the two seek Kenyans mandate to serve a second term.

They will launch several development projects before addressing major rallies in Moyale and Marsabit towns.
