Ulinzi Stars Coach Benjamin Nyangweso has expressed happiness despite getting a one-all draw against Western Stima in a match played at the Afraha Stadium on Wednesday 19 April 2017.
Ulinzi were targetting a win to propel them to the summit of the standings but their dreams were thrwarted a few minutes to the breather when Stima scored the first goal courtesy of Raymond Murugi.
Their blushes were however saved later when Stephen Waruru pulled back the equaliser for the Nakuru soldiers.
Speaking after the encounter, Nyangweso rued the early substitution they had been forced to make.
"I think we played well but we lost the chances. Every match we play we lose a lot of chances that’s our problem. We have to continue sharpening our skills. I think the early substitution did cause confusion because it wasn’t planned for. We had to play a junior player who had been promoted from the under 20, so he is still young. The substitution did make the defense unstable," he said.
"We are progressing well, there are two draws we played away, this is the only draw we have played at home. This game I think it wasn’t good because when you play at home you need to collect all the three points," added the military man.
Ulinzi next meet Mathare United at Afraha in a league game slated for April 23.
