Kenya Premier League sides Ulinzi Stars and Posta Rangers played to a two-all draw in a friendly match staged at the Afraha Stadium on Monday.
Kevin Amwayi put the hosts in a commanding lead at the 43rd minute after receiving a beautiful through pass from Bernard Ongoma before firing a rasping shot past a clueless Patrick Matasi as the match progressed into half time.
However, upon resumption into the last half, the Mailmen were awarded a penalty after Omar Mbongi was adjudged to have fauled Terra Misiskho on the 51st minute and the towering Jockins Atudo sent Ulinzi custodian Timothy Odhiambo the wrong way to restore parity.
With both sides at par, the Soldiers mounted another spirited fightback to extend the lead and were duly gifted on the 63rd minute when Daniel Waweru spotted rangers keeper Martin Musalia who had come in for Matasi off his line and beat him with a low shot into the far post to give the Soldiers another lead.
Both teams continued to hunt for goals with Rangers opting to use long balls fron the wings.
The Sammy Omollo side would finally be rewarded in the 90th minute when Misikho curved in the ball from a corner kick that left Odhiambo chasing shadows as the match came to a dramatic end.
