The Kenyan government has rebuffed allegations that the Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) caused the deaths of 40 civilians in Somalia. These allegations were made in a United Nations report.Important to note is that report has implicated the KDF contingent not affiliated to AMISOM.tThat is not to say that the contingent affiliated with AMISOM is blameless; it has been implicated in the deaths of four deaths and five injuries of Somalia civilians.Kenya's ambassador to Somalia in Mogadishu has appended his signature to a response to the allegations made in the 56-page UN report in which he rebuffed them.Lucas Tumbo, the ambassador, said KDF had never received any complaints about deaths caused by KDF during the period under review. The United Nations report also noted that most of the casualties were caused by Al Shabaab.
