KenGen has finally come clean on the jaw-dropping salary that its former CEO used to earn.

Mr. Albert Mugo, it has been revealed, took home a monthly salary of Sh2.2 million which means he was among the cabal of highest-earning parastatal executives.

His salary was twice that of his predecessor Ben Chumo who earned 1 million per month.

Mugo who retired in August was replaced by Rebecca Miano, the only woman to have held the post.
