[Photo|PSCU]Kimilili MP Didmus Barasa has strongly opposed President Uhuru Kenyatta's formation of new cabinet.Barasa who was elected through Jubilee Party ticket, said Uhuru's new cabinet locked out the Luhya community especially after Water and Irrigation Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa was seemingly locked out."The formation of government as unveiled today, even though it is assumed to be still ongoing and with assurance that our Son from mulembe nation will be included, has depicted the luhya community as a second rate spare wheel. It calls for very deep reflection," Barasa lamented, hours after Uhuru's announcement on Friday.He indicated that appointment of Wanyama Musiambo, the former Rift Valley regional coordinator as the Deputy Head of Public Service, was not enough to satisfy the Luhya community that one of their own had been recognised."The position of Deputy Head of Public Service is too junior with nothing to write home about," said the Jubilee MP.Musiambo would deputise Joseph Kinyua.Kenyatta nominated former Turkana Senator John Munyes, former Marsabit Governor Ukur Yattani and former Director of Public Prosecutions Keriako Tobiko to Cabinet.He made clear other nominees would follow.Kenyatta also retained six cabinet ministers who served in Cabinet through his first term.Those retained are Henry Rotich (National Treasury), James Macharia (Transport and Infrastructure) Fred Matiang’i, (Interior and Co-ordination of National Government, and acting Cabinet Secretary in the Ministry of Education), Charles Keter (Energy) and Joe Mucheru (ICT).
