The said politician is none other than the former Speaker of the National Assembly Mr Kenneth Marende.

The allegations were linked to active social media blogger Abdullahi Musa on Tuesday on his Facebook account.

On his post, Musa narrates the system the leaders are planning to employ in their bid to derail Kidero's quest for a second term in office.

"Kenneth Marende being groomed to vie on KANU ticket for Nairobi gubernatorial seat to divide Luhya vote," Reads Musa's post in part.

"The plan hatcher is Solicitor General Njei Muturi," he adds.

Kidero seeks to occupy City Hall for the next five years but is facing competition from several politicians namely Peter Kenneth, Senator Milke Sonko, Miguna Miguna, MP Dennis Waweru, Bishop Magret Wanjiru and many more.

By the time of publishing this article neither had Marende or Muturi responded to this claims.
