According to World Vision Manager in Finland Ula Tervo, this has lead to these young mothers to 'stagnate' in life.

“Once they are kicked out of school because of the pregnancy the stigma starts and they feel rejected. Their lives somehow come to a stand-still,” said Tervo.

Tervo was saying this during the graduation of 26 ECD teachers in Meibek College in Moiben on Saturday, where she asked family of such girls to support them.

“Developmental studies shows that how a child is treated at an early stage dictates much what they become in future," she added.

The College Administrator Allan Malimo said that World Vision and Uasin Gishu government has sponsored them with Sh5 billion to build classrooms and hostels..

"We want an integrated system where such girls can be provided with accommodation together with their kids after attending classes here,” said Malimo.
