As the Cabinet Secretary for education is putting up efforts at improving the education sector the principals have urged him to help the schools have enough teaching staff.
According to the principals, the schools are understaffed hence undermining the performance of schools.
Speaking at the school the principal sister Angeline Atswela said that the challenge facing schools is lack of enough teachers, she has challenged the ministry of education to sort out the problem.
In addition, she said that if the problem is sorted schools will perform better than they do.
The cabinet secretary Fred Matiang’i who was present at the school said that the government has put measures of employing other teachers in the next financial year as he promised that the problem will be sorted out.
“As the government we have measures in place of employing other teachers in the next financial year as I hope that we will solve the matter in our schools," said Matiang'i.
"But what I would like to request is that let our teachers avoids absenteeism in our schools as we are looking forward to curbing the shortage,” said Matiang’i.
