Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) Secretary General Seth Panyako has blamed two NASA politicians for fueling the ongoing nurses' strike.According to Panyako, Turkana governor Josphat Nanok and his Kisii counterpart James Ongwae should take full responsibility for the stalemate in the health sector.Speaking on Saturday, Panyako observed that the duo's hard stance in having the nurses' strike resolved has prolonged the crisis."Ministry of Labour called for a conciliation meeting between the national government, county governments and union of nurses and the two officials boycotted. We presented ourselves before the conciliator, but both the county and national government did not turn up only for the strike to be termed illegal," he said."As a union, we are surprised people fighting and crying for justice are the same individuals frustrating the nurses of this country," he added. The outspoken SG further maintained that nurses will boycott duty until their demands are met.Nanok is the current Council of Governors chair whereas Ongwae is the chairman of the Human Resource, Labour and Social Welfare Committee of the Governors Council.
