The union said no bodaboda operator will be allowed to do business unless they show prove they own an ID and a voters card.

The riders in Migori are registered and their union brings together bodaboda riders from 42 stages.

Rinus Onyango, who is the chairman of Migori Town Bodaboda Operators Association said they took the decision after realising many of the riders, despite being vocal in politics, have ID and voters cards.

“We sent home more than 100 riders to get the documents and register as voters,” Onyango said as quoted by the Star.

He said the union will stick to its guns and ensure all motorcyclists register as voters ahead of the August polls.
