Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) official has lauded the Education Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i for ensuring that marking of the KCPE exams was done on time and results released.
According to KNUT Kisii Central sub-county branch chairperson, Mr Nicolas Oyaro the CS has been so inspirational and there is hope in the education sector which was getting low day by day.
Speaking in his office on Thursday the unionist said that there was a need for all the education officials in the ministry of education to hold hands and support the Cs for the good work that he has done.
“We did not expect this initially but now we are proud to be associated with him and we believe that with time he will be able to streamline the whole education sector,” he added.
Oyaro added that they will support the measure that the CS will introduce as long as they see the education sector get back to the old good standards that they had.
This comes after the education CS released KCPE results prior the expected date that was set to be on 8th December.
