President Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition leader Raila Odinga have been asked to chart ways of uniting Kenyans to foster national cohesion.
Speaking on Tuesday to residents, Bogichora ward MCA hopeful George Morara asked Uhuru to meet with Raila and help unite Kenyans.
"I urge Uhuru and Raila to dialogue on ways of fostering national cohesion. We have of late heard remarks from certain politicians allied to the two leaders abusing each other and uttering remarks that may polarise the country," he said.
As political temperatures continue to rise in the run up to the 2017 elections, several MPs and a Senator were on Tuesday charged in court with making inciting remarks.
They are still in custody as police carry out investigations into the incidents.
The accounting expert also urged the two leaders to initiate dialogue in seeking a way to end the IEBC stalemate.
"I also ask our two leaders to shun coalition wrangles and initiate talks in bid to end the IEBC stalemate," added Morara.
