Aspiring Kiambu governor David Ngare alias Gakuyo has called on his rivals Ferdinand Waititu and William Kabogo to bury their differences for a month to mobilise mass voter registration.

Speaking during a political show on Kameme FM on Sunday, Gakuyo said if all aspirants would unite to sensitise the residents about this one-month exercise, more than 350,000 new voters will be registered in Kiambu.

"The numbers of individuals in this county with IDs but not registered with IEBC is more than 430,000. If we can put our differences aside and combine efforts, we can help more than 80 per cent of these individuals to register," said Gakuyo.

The real estate tycoon said Kiambu being the President Uhuru Kenyatta backyard, should register the highest number of new voters to back Jubilee government's re-election in the August 8 elections.

"We should not the President down in this noble exercise of listing voters and Jubilee Party members. We need to marshal all our resources to ensure we have numbers for Uhuru's re-election," he added.
