Addressing 'wananchi' shortly after presiding over the pass-out parade at NYS College Gilgil, Tuesday, Uhuru challenged them to emulate youths who live and work together peacefully in their colleges irrespective of their backgrounds.

"Youth come from all corners of the Country, live together and share everything they have as they train in colleges. But the same cannot be said of the older generation who still think along tribal lines,'' he said.

"We have to change this negative approach to life now. Unity is the only way through which we can prosper."

He said tribalism and division could not feed, create jobs or allow businesses to thrive.

"Our patriotism is what will help us progress,'' he said.
