Leaders allied to the new alliance have said any division would lead to a loss, with most of them vowing not to allow personal ambitions to come in the way of the union.

This was said on Wednesday at the Bomas of Kenya as leaders of 15 political parties came together in a show of unity.

The meeting was meant to chat a way forward and bring together leaders and delegates of the parties involved in the formation of the NASA alliance.

The parties also sought to find the way forward following the passing of the controversial Electoral Laws Bill, which allows for an alternative manual involvement during the August 8 polls.

The leaders at the Bomas showed unity and togetherness, with most of them hoping they can hold on to the togetherness when it matters most.

“Raila, Kalonzo, Wetangula and Kanu from wherever they are, if you break or disagree and cost us the presidency, Kenyans will never forgive you,” said Johnstone Muthama.

Cord co-principal Raila Odinga weighed in, urging the leaders to remain together as they fight for the top seat.

“These leaders have come together, and this (alliance) will grow further,” said Odinga.

“The type of politics that we are exhibiting here, let it not be a political show which won’t take us anywhere,” said Mudavadi.
