The University of Eastern Africa, Baraton has distanced itself from reports that it owes its employees salary arrears for three months.
The institution's Vice Chancellor Phillip Maiyo said the report was "grossly exaggerated".
"There was a little delay, which was however communicated to the staff. As of now there are no pay arrears," he told the Nation.
A week ago, some workers alleged that some of their colleagues were already job hunting due to salary delays at the institution, a claim the VC dismissed.
"The administration is not aware of workers leaving because of salary delays," Prof Maiyo added.
