Speaking on Wednesday, Eldoret University Vice Chancellor Prof Teresia Akenga said that the new policy contains all the guidelines on how to handle corruption cases within the university.

"The University of Eldoret has ensured that it identifies all the corruption prone areas and then come up with a more developed corruption prevention plan," said Prof Akenga.

The VC said that the policy highlights the role of management in ensuring that it mobilises the resources to fight corruption.

"Corruption is one of the biggest enemy in the whole country. We need to fight it with all the resources we have and the best way to do it is by starting with our own students," she said.

She added that soon, the policy will be introduced to all the faculties within the university and those who caught with any corruption cases will face the law.
