Dr. Fredrick Onyango Ogolla,  the Strathmore University don accused of killing his wife has been released on a sh 100, 000 bond pending investigations.The accused lecturer was ordered by high Court judge Justice Luka Kimaru to present himself before the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) homicide section today (Monday) to assist police with further investigations during his release.Police had suspect that Dr. Ogola physically assaulted his 27-year-old wife, Rebecca Gobi Mwachongo, leading to her death in their Lavington home on December 31 last year.A Postmoterm conducted on the body of Rabecca Gobi revealed that she had not sustained any physical injuries and possibly had died of a heart attack.“She had a blood clot in the left atrium, but we cannot attribute this to anything at the moment,” A postmortem conducted by Chief Government Pathologist Johansen Oduor revealed.Mr Ogola has maintained his innocence and said that his wife fell on their matrimonial bed and collapsed. She was later pronounced dead on arrival to Aga Khan hospital.“There was no fight. This was a play, she had asked me what my programme was and I told her that my plan was to drop the letters. She told me that I would not be going and I asked her what she would do to stop me,” Dr Ogola said.
