A Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology student was yesterday arraigned in Kisii court for allegedly raping a school worker aged 24 years.
The suspect by the name David Kariuki who is currently ongoing his studies and he is a second year in Kisii JKUAT campus denied the allegations before the Kisii resident magistarate Irene Omambia.
According to the charge sheet the David Kariuki was early this year on 18th January in the campus building he raped the school worker Irene Bosibori in one of the toilets in the building.
According to the charge shit David is also being accused of assaulting Irene and also giving her threats if she would say it out.
David pleaded not guilty to the two counts and was released on a cash bail of Sh60, 000 pending trial. The student was arraigned in court as the university administration denied social media reports the rape incident involved one of its lecturers. The student will be back to remand as he waits for his fate in two weeks time again.
