A 25-year-old university student has found himself at the wrong side of the law after being found with a minor in a guest house.
The student was arrested in Iten on Wednesday evening after he was found with a class five girl.
Police arrested Emmanuel Keter following a tip off by piblic who saw him checking into the facility with the young girl.
Keiyo North AP commander Joseph Biwott said that the university student was arrested at around 4pm after spending some time .
Biwott said the minor was taken to Iten County Referral Hospital and the linguistics Undergraduate to Iten police station for questioning.
The police boss said that the suspect would be arraigned in court after completion of medical examination report.
"We are only waiting for the doctor so we establish whether the man engaged in any sexual acts with the minor," the Star reported.
The police boss said that the guest house staff would be required to record statements after failing to report the incident.
"We want to know why they did not report such suspicious behavior. They will be arrested and prosecuted if found culpable."
Biwott said the pupil's parents were shocked after learning of the incident as she left for school that morning.
The commander thanked the members of the public for reporting the illegal behavior and urged them to continue helping police.
