The suspect Moses Ochieng who is a university student, is said to have sent the “leaked” examination material to Nyawita Mixed secondary school principal George Ogunde through whatsapp on Wednesday.

According to Bondo subcouty Director of Education Mr Elisha Omala, the suspect sent images of Kiswahili lugha examination material through the social media platform.

Mr Omala narrated that the suspect who has a cousin sitting the ongoing examinations at the school, also sent a text message to the principal instructing him to share the materials with the candidate.

“The head teacher said he received the text immediately the Insha paper was over at around 10 am and got curious to check his WhatsApp platform” Omala disclosed

Area OCPD Paul Kiarie who confirmed the incident said the suspect was lured this morning to the school compound by the principal who pretended to have appreciated his support.

Kiarie said the police have launched investigations into the incident to ascertain if the sent Kiswahili lugha examination material image is the actual paper which the candidates sat for yesterday.

Meanwhile Siaya county commissioner Josephine Onunga who was accompanied by area TSC director Mr Samuel Marigat and Bondo sub county deputy county commissioner Richard Ajwang visited various examination centers in Bondo to monitor the progress of the ongoing exams.

Onunga said that since the onset of both KCPE and KCSE examination they have not received any reports regarding examination challegenges from any of the school in Bondo Sub County.

“The process has been generally smooth apart from the single incident witnessed in Nyawita mixed secondary school today and a candidate at Nyamira girls high school who failed to sit her exams under unclear circumstance,” Onunga said.
