A 22-year-old has committed suicide, two weeks after he was sent home over tuition fee.

The Multi Media University student took his life at ShauriMoyo estate in Nairobi.

The second-year student was found hanging from the rooftop of his parent’s house on Tuesday night.

Buruburu OCPD, Geoffrey Mayiek confirmed the incident.

He said that it is not yet clear why the student decided to take his life as he did not leave behind any suicide note.

Mother to the deceased told the Citizen Digital that her son had indeed been sent away from the institution due to tuition fees.
