A university student is reported to have committed suicide after catching his girlfriend cheating.
The second-year student at Chuka University was found dead inside his room after hanging himself on Wednesday.
The student, Kevin Warui, according to colleagues had had a frustrating relationship after catching his girlfriend cheating on him several times.
Warui, who was studying Computer Science at the institution left a six-page suicide letter smeared with blood with inscriptions that he would return in spirit although he was not sure of making a come back to life.
Police in Chuka who picked the body said Warui was found hanging from his room's roof.
According to contents in the suicide letter, the deceased said his girlfriend, had the habit of cheating on him.
He said he at one time he found her making love with an elderly man in her hostel room but when he asked about the issue, she told him to move on and if he was concerned he could go ahead and commit suicide.
"She was apparently having a sexual affair with another man," the suicide note read as quoted by Radio Jambo.
He said despite the girlfriend's continued cheating on him, he still loved her.
Warui also said he shared a bank account with his girlfriend.
