Collins Achieng’ was salvaged by the students’ leader from the angry students who wanted to lynch him in Nyamage village for allegedly defrauding fellow comrades.

Achieng is said to have fraudulently obtained over Sh20,000 from students promising to help them illegally acquire exam cards from the institution.

According to a source who requested anonymity, Achieng’ had duped over 20 students a week ago with sentiments that the Student’s finance officer is his in-law hence he could easily help them acquire the cards without clearing the fee arrears.

The students had then paid him a package of Sh1,000 each to orchestrate the illegal activity which did not bear any fruits.

The students then confronted him in the eve of the exams kickoff unfortunately, he had empty promises and declined to refund the cash. This culminated into merciless beating.

The commotion attracted a huge crowd who descended on him with kicks and blows thanks to the timely intervention of a students’ leader who calmed the mob citing that killing him would not help but rather complicate issues.

The leader then promised to solve the issue with the institution’s management and warned the student’s against defrauding fellow comrades citing that the camaraderie spirit should be embraced by the students.
