Mr Bet, the second born in his family hails from Bomet County and runs an event organising firm called WHYPHY entertainment with its main office in Kisii County.

His journey started back in 2014 after high school when he discovered his interests in disc jockeying.

In June 2016, he joined a DJ academy for three months under the Supremacy sounds where he was certified as a competent DJ.

His experience in deejaying in various events within the university and his love for self-employment made him start his own company.

In his first month, he made a profit of Sh2,000.

Due to his passion for the industry, he was able to save and purchase his own equipment and later opened a deejaying school.

With a capital of Sh40,000, DJ Gyro was able to acquire a simple turntable which he uses up to date.

His dream was fulfilled after he set up his own studio in his rental room due to the high rent rates in the commercial industry.

Having been in the business for two years now, DJ Gyro has organised various events within Kisii, as well as receiving special invites in other universities in Nyanza region.

Regardless of his busy schedule due to his class work, DJ Gyro is able to cash more than Sh10, 000 per event.

"I started with very little but I have grown now. I still have big dreams for my business," he said.

His greatest dream is to start a modern academy school in his home county after he completes his studies.

"No matter how much small you have, you can start anything you want. It is never too little to start your business. Passion and discipline are the tools to success," he said.
