Led by the students union Chairman Isaac Choge, the students said the meeting was a good move and should be supported by all stakeholders.

"As a student leader, I am very happy with the move but all is not well until we see the strike coming to an end and comrades going back to class," he said in Eldoret town, Monday.

“Let me assure students nationwide that in conjunction with Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU), as a student leader, I will live to the task of keeping the Ministry of Education on toes for it to be more responsible," added the Moi University students union Chairman.

He said the students are happy after the CS called a crisis meeting after their mild demonstration last week but he warned her that they will not fall for their double tongues until they see action.

Choge, however, challenged the CS to get service and stop nonchalant incompetence and that she should live up to the task bestowed to her by President Uhuru Kenyatta.

He reiterated that student’s interests must be served and lecturers must be given their wages without the mischievous and shrewd cat and mouse games.
