A section of University students in Uasin Gishu county has threatened to boycott some of the government products in a bid to push for an end to the ongoing lecturers strike.
The Moi University students leaders say they will on Monday announce a list of products students will be boycotting.
Addressing the press in Eldoret town on Friday, the student's leaders led by Moi University's Secretary General Moses Tisa accused the Education Cabinet Secretary Amb. Amina Mohammed for not putting more efforts to end the strike.
"Next week on Monday we are coming up with a list of the things we are going to boycott. Anything from the government won't be bought," said Tisa flanked with other students union officials.
"I'll come up with a list of the things to be boycotted. If they cannot listen to us, we will even boycott the President and opposition leader," he added.
University lectures and other non-teaching staff have been on strike for the last one month demanding for the tabling, negotiating and implementation of the 2017-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement.
