Led by student's union Chairman Isaac Choge they said the  CS has failed to end the ongoing lecturers' strike that has led total paralysis of education in all public universities.

"As students, we are really disappointed with Amb. Mohamed's leadership. How can lecturers be on a strike for over five weeks yet she is doing nothing to solve it," said Choge in Eldoret town on Thursday.

"We are calling on President Uhuru Kenyatta to sack her with immediate effect since she has failed in her mandate. She will bring more harm than good to the education sector," he added.

The students further urged the national government to implement the lecturers 2017-2021 Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) to end the strike.

They said the strike had negatively impacted on their educations progress. 

"Due to the ongoing lecturers strike we have not only lost our money but our precious time, we, therefore, call for speedy interventions by ensuring lecturers are paid their dues," said the Moi University students union chairman. 

He also expressed concerns that students will have to extend their time in school by another semester due to the ongoing strike.
