President Uhuru Kenyatta has called on Coast region residents to reject the Opposition coalition NASA during the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on Sunday during a series of political meetings in Kilifi county, the Head of State accused the Opposition leaders of running a trivialized campaign, in a move aimed at gaining political capital.
“The choice for Kenyans at the August 8 polls will be between Jubilee’s economic progression and the opposition’s retrogressive politics,” he said.
He further urged the locals to support his reelection bid, defending his administration's track record.
He also affirmed his commitment to uniting the country.
“We have an agenda for Kenya. We have an agenda for Kilifi. We have an agenda for Malindi — an agenda to make the lives of our people better and to bring prosperity to our nation. We have an agenda to bring our people together," he stated.
