Kenya which beat Rwanda 2-0 on Sunday in Kakamega were unlucky not to pull off a clear win after dominating the match but lady luck failed to smile on them.

Cheered on by thousands of soccer fans, Harambee Stars created many scoring chances but George Ogutu, George "Black Berry" Odhiambo, Mohamed Masoud, Ochieng Oduor and Vincent Oburu saw their gilt edge chances miss the target narrowly.

The draw saw Kenya maintain top spot in Group A with four points with Zanzibar second on three points. Libya are third with two points following their 0-0 draw withTanzania on Sunday. Tanzania are fourth with one points while Rwanda are last with no point from two matches.

Earlier at the Same venue , Zanzibar made a flying start in the tournament when they thrashed Rwanda 3-1.

Zanzibar scored their goals through Yahya Mudhahir,Mohammed Issa and Kassim Suleiman. Rwanda's consolation goal was scored by Muhadhir Hazikimana.

The loss was a bitter pill to swallow for the Amavubi of Rwanda who were beaten 2-0 by Kenya in the first Group A match on Sunday in Kakamega.

Harambee Stars coach Paul Put said they will try to prepare in their next match and register a win to boost their chances of qualifying for the knockout phase , adding that injury on his key player jolted their chances.

Libyan Coach Omar El Mariyam said Kenya busted their4-4-2 formation before engaging in defensive play todistort their game plan.

Football Kenya Federation Vice President Doris Petrapraised Kenya for their splendid game saying the team would have won the match in the first half.
