The University of Nairobi has said it will from May this year start constructing a modern Graduate School of Business.

According to Vice-chancellor Peter Mbithi, training will be offered at the just-completed UoN Towers that cost Sh2.3billion in construction.

Mbithi said that the School of Business of UoN (formerly known as School of Commerce) has played a vital role in producing majority of iconic policy makers, scholars and business executives in the region.

“Times have changed and the market demands of the 21st century require us to re-engineer our programmes so as to work in close partnership with the Industry and support each other,” said the don.

The university also intends to launch the Executive Development Programmes for mangers working in government, industry and international clients as a way of contributing to society.

“Our decision to establish the graduate school of business at the University is an irreversible response to the market demands. It provides us with the opportunity to grow and stay globally competitive,” added Mbithi.
