The University of Nairobi has come out to disown a quack doctor who claimed to be from the institution.
This after Ronald Melly was charged in court for practicing medicine without medical qualification .
He was arrested on Monday at the Kenya Medical and Practitioners Board offices, where he had been tricked to believe he was going to renew “permanent” medical license.
Kibera resident magistrate Jane Kamau ordered that the accused be detained at Capitol Hill police station for two days in order to pave way for investigations.
The prosecution had asked for three days.
The case is set to be mentioned on Friday when the accused will be charged formally.
