This comes after the students on Wednesday held protests in solidarity with their striking dons.

The students have urged the government to address the lecturers grievances, adding that they want to resume classes as soon as possible.

The students have threatened to hold demonstrations day and night if the matter is not resolved within the 12-hour period, the Standard reports.

“The country is reach and the government is spending money on other things instead of paying the professors and doctors their dues,” said one of the students, as quoted by the daily.
