The students drawn from all Nairobi campuses condemned the slow pace at which the matter was being resolved considering that the strike had entered it's second week.

"We want to compel the government to have negotiations with the lectures. Whether they are signing the CBA or not, we want our lectures back in class,” said Apiyo Apiyo, Organizing Secretary, Students Organization of Nairobi University (SONU).

The lecturers are demanding implementation of the 2017 -2013 CBA that was agreed upon between the government and the unions.
