Speaking on Friday in Gatundu network’s chairman Paul Gitonga, criticised county leaders who have been exuding hatred to their fellow leaders in public.

“We have witnessed cases of respectable MPs, ward representatives, governors and senators hurling insults at each other. This is so embarrassing considering that we elected them to represent us, not their own personal differences. We urge them to work in unity for the good of the public,” said Gitonga.

Cases of leaders tainting their colleagues’ images and abusing each other especially in public gatherings have been rampant especially in Kiambu county.

Kiambu County Uongozi Mwema Network secretary Isaac Gachora also condemned the vice, terming it as disregard for acceptable decorum from leaders who should be role models.

“Leaders should know that we are watching and we keep even the finest details of their demeanour. We will use these facts to either send them home or re-elect them come 2017. It will help us see who can deliver. And most importantly, respect among each other should be paramount,” said Maina.
