Coast based rights group Haki Africa on Saturday held a joint presser with Mvita Member of Parliament Abdulswammad Shariff Nassir and Mombasa Senator Mohammed Faki over the disappearance of an 18-year-old Husni Mbarak.
The victim is said to have been kidnapped by unknown men on Friday evening near Masjid Azhar, Guraya.
Eyewitnesses reported that the boy was taken into a White Fielder of Registration Number KCP 254W.
"In case anyone has information on his whereabouts or spots the kidnapping vehicle please call 0728-838010 or 0782-995620 or Haki Africa 0707-503388 or the Father 0722-412810," said Haki Africa Executive Director Hussein Khalid.
The leaders expressed concerns over the continued rise of cases of disappearances and extrajudicial killings in the region after the electioneering season.
"We demand our right to safety and security as enshrined in article 29 of the constitution."
