The leaked information went viral on various social media platforms with a number of county residents urging Speaker Joash Nyamoko to take a stern action against the culprits.

According to the source who spoke to the reporter on condition of anonymity, the four, Andrew Magangi (Deputy Speaker), Fred Menge (nominated), Richard Bosire (nominated) and James Sabwengi of Kiabonyoro were to be part of the delegation in Mombasa but did not show up.

“It’s true that four MCAs were paid allowances in advance but haven’t turned up for the ongoing conference in Mombasa. Believe you me I have the record and I can confirm that. The message circulating is the bitter truth,” said the source.

“None of them has given a valid reason other than Magangi who was supposed to be head of a funeral ceremony of a political advisor to the county governor on Wednesday,” added the source.

However, only Magangi could be reached for comment as he defended his delay on the Wednesday’s funeral while the rest could neither answer calls nor respond to text messages.

“I am on my way to Mombasa and my delay is as a result of Wednesday’s burial. My integrity cannot allow me to get allowances and miss attending induction exercises,” he said.
