Suspicions surrounding the recently released KCSE exams are away from over after fresh revelations showed that marks could have been cooked and awarded to candidates wrongly.

It has emerged that a boy at St Teresa Bumini Secondary School in Kakamega county was awarded KCSE exam marks despite not having sat the papers.

The candidate, Edwin Wesonga, succumbed to blood cancer on November 2 before the paper that began later on November 6.

According to the family, the boy had sat only the Agriculture practical paper before his demise.

However, results that were later returned to the school have shown that he scored a D in English.

"Someone ask Matiang'i to explain and elaborate to me how my nephew Edwin (RIP), index 70, managed grade D- in English while in his final resting place! So the dead not only vote but also sit for exams?" asked Ken Were, a close kin.

The revelation even makes solid the earlier concerns where teachers said they had been forced to mark within tight time schedules, sometimes awarding wrong marks to students.

"I've never believed that guy Matiang'i for a second. Seeking attention while messing the lives of innocent kids," said Davies Nato, another user responding to the thread.
