[Photo|MN]Uriri MP Mark Nyamita on Wednesday offered full personal scholarships to two students from the constituency to join Rapogi High School, as another joined Homa Bay High.He made the decision following a story of Denis Onyango, an orphan from Chunge village in North Kanyamkago ward, who scored 342 marks in 2017 KCPE.Onyango and his elder brother Oduor Odhiambo were staying with their elderly grandmother Mary Obango.“When I was told the legislator, who never knew us or had visited us had shown his kind gesture I thought it was a dream until today when he came to pick the boy to school,” Obango said.During the visit Nyamita’s Personal Assistant Albert Onyango also offered school fees support for Oduor Odhiambo who had to repeat class eight in 2011 when their father died and managed to score 306 at Nyamasaria primary school.“I had to move schools twice in secondary because of fees problem, I finally sat for my exams at Otodo Mixed where I scored a D plain because of hardship,” Odhiambo said.Albert said the boy will go back to school at St. Gabriel Miranga Mixed where he will pay his full fees.Nyamita drove the boy to Rapogi where he ensured he was admitted together with Maxwel Otieno who scored 359 marks at Nyamilu primary school.At Kamsaki, Nyamita also extended the same gesture to David Omollo who scored 359 marks and was to join Homa Bay Boys.
