The five received their dismissals on grounds that they were supporting Governor Isaac Ruto’s Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM) party.

The dismissal was reached after the URP top brass under leadership of Bomet Senator Wilfred Lesan and Sotik Member of Parliament Joyce Laboso converged at Sotik Pastoral Centre on Monday and reached the decision.

Mr Lesan said the expulsion of the five was to create a middle ground for URP delegates later attending the party dissolution and merger with other affiliate parties to form the grand Jubilee Party.
