Speaking to the press earlier on Tuesday at his Kabete town office, Ngugi said that the merger will kill democracy and push away good and credible leaders

“By so doing, the country is being taken to the era where only one party rules since the merger will see all the political parties coming together to form JAP. This is very wrong and I urge all those who are behind the merger to look at the interests of all the Kenyans first and not their own benefits,” said Ngugi.

Ngugi went ahead and added that JAP had no infrastructures in the constituency, and it was going to use the infrastructures of the TNA Party.

“What we are suspecting is that come Saturday, the nomination process will not be fair since we are having some doubts on the credibility of the nomination process. We have issues with it since the officials will all be from the TNA party and hence they may end up favouring one of their own.JAP is a political fuss,” added Ngugi.

He further urged the people of Kabete to ensure that they vote in a credible leader, who is determined to ensure that all the work which the late Muchai had started, are finished and some new projects started.

“As you can see, we have even attracted intruders who are not from this constituency and they want to vie for this seat, not because they want to help you but they have their own interest first. Avoid such leaders and vote for a credible leader who knows the problems of this constituency well,” said Ngugi.
