US Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec has for the first time spoken on Raila Odinga and NASA move to postpone the swearing-in they had slated for 12 December.

In a post on his Twitter handle, Godec termed the move as a positive step towards national dialogue.

“NASA’s decision yesterday is a positive step. We again call for a sustained, open, and transparent national conversation involving all Kenyans to build national unity and address long-standing issues,” said Godec.

Last Friday Godec led fellow diplomats, clergy and business sector representative in meeting the NASA Principals where they called on political leaders to lead the nation into open and transparent dialogue.

NASA co-principal Musalia Mudavadi announced on Sunday that the postponement was due to internal, national and international interventions.
