US ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec says NASA should should forget about elections and instead focus moving the country forward.
For months now, Raila Odinga has insisted that he willtake oath of office with the steering committee scheduling it on Jan 30th this year.
"Nothing shall stop us from taking oath of office. I won the election and servers can vindicate my stand," Odinga has repeatedly said.
But at a courtesy call to Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka, Godec insisted that the dialogue NASA is calling for should only revolve around issues affecting Kenyans.
"The elections are finished and it is time the country to move forward by strengthening economic growth.
"Dialogue is important but we must remember elections are over, they are now behind Kenyans and it's now time to move forward," said Godec.
During his trip to US in November, a fired Odinga accused Godec of partly contributing to Kenyan problems.
And in most of his public rallies, Odinga has consistently warned the US against 'interference' of Kenya's internal issues.
