Kiambu County Peace Committee chairman Samuel Ngugi wants politicians to be responsible and use their forums to preach unity.
The peace chairman has raised worries over what he termed as careless talk among some politicians.
Ngugi said that such careless talk would easily disrupt peace among the locals, which can result in chaos
“Politicians should be responsible and work with us to promote security and peace, we do not want to hear politicians disrupting peace with their talks,” he said.
Ngugi said security and peace is a responsibility of every citizen, and politicians are not exempted.
He further said that the committee is keen to preach unity and peace across the country, noting that they have partnered with various State and private sector agencies to formulate policies on peace.
The chairman urged residents to be on the frontline and help preach unity, saying this is the only way to develop.
“Kenyans should work together and shun leaders or individuals who perpetuate disunity,” he said.
