Opposition leaders should use legal means to remove the IEBC officials from officer, Laikipia West MP Patrick Muriru has said.
The MP criticized NASA presidential candidate Raila Odinga for calling mass protests to remove the officials from office.
"It is wrong for the opposition to use illegal means to have the IEBC officials get out of office,"the legislator said.
The MP called on Laikipia county residents to ignore the calls for mass protests.
He said the county is cosmopolitan and residents should be calm with their activities instead of joining in demonstrations.
Muriru called on the government to take action on those who will take advantage of the protests to ruin and rob people's property.
"Our youth should ignore the calls since they are the ones who will suffer once police decide to engage the protesters", the lawmaker said.
