Deputy President William Ruto will not become president but he will be made one, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi says.
Ngunyi in his weekly Fifth Estate analysis that the poor citizens who are tired of being enslaved by ‘royalty’ will ensure that DP Ruto becomes president because they can relate with his story and rise from poverty.
Ngunyi says, “We are persuaded that Ruto will be more of a class project than an ethnic project that he'll be made president by the hustlers and not the ethnic oligarchs.”
The analysis hypothesises that if Ruto is a class project and not a project of the ethnic oligarchs, then this would possibly mean the end of ethnicity and the beginning of a class war between the rich and the poor.
Ngunyi says that Ruto will be made president with or without the GEMA and ethnic oligarchs adding that he will be a project of the hustler nation- a project of the wretched of the earth a project.
“Because of Ruto henceforth, any chicken seller in Kenya can aspire to become president regardless of tribe. Because of Ruto, anyone described as the wretched of the earth can aspire to become president. Uhuru and Gideon Moi are sons of presidents and Raila is the son of a vice president and Mudavadi is the son of a powerful minister.”
Ngunyi says that by Ruto being the son of a man whose name no one knows is the reason he will become president as he represents most of those from the hustler nation.
He advises Ruto: “To become president you must engage opposition politicians but you must remember that you cannot buy a politician. You can only rent one and once the rent is finished, you have to reload all the political delegations you have received in your current office.”
“To become president you must buy Miguna. You must pump money into the cause of this man. If you support him he will neutralize Raila for you and if you do not neutralize Raila he will complicate your bid for the presidency. In some, Miguna is a product of the hustler nation, you support him you win,” Ngunyi adds.
Ngunyi advises Ruto not to be held hostage by the GEMA nation but should become a project of the hustler nation.
“You must not become a slave of the GEMA promise but a maker of dreams. A champion of the hustler. You taught us that the dreams of a hustler will take you farther than the plans of a tribal oligarch, that the dreams of a man whose father has no name are bigger than the history of a man whose name is dying and this is what we understood you to mean.”
Ngunyi said that the Odinga and Moi names are dying but the name of the hustler nation is rising.
“Mr. Ruto Sir, your mission for the country is to break the yoke that binds us. You must break the yoke of tribal oligarchs. You will not become president not by the GEMA nation but by the hustling nation.
